Victoria- and it’s principle city Melbourne- is one of the best places in the world for craft beer and is continuing to grow.

Although a lot of Australians like to drink and some of them like to review beer, there aren’t a lot of websites which review the overall experience of drinking at breweries. For us, it’s about more than a drink or an afternoon out – it’s a sum of many parts and sometimes more. Great beers are best appreciated when taking in the environment in which they are made. Only then can you understand what motivates their developers.

Sometimes review site will say that they try products so that you don’t have to. But in this case it’s the opposite. We visit these places, examine their appeal and drink their beer, so that you too can embark on the same experience. Or if you don’t live here, just enjoy the reviews and understand what it’s like to be a beer lover in one of the world’s best beer cities.

Our method is very simple and not particularly scientific – try a ‘paddle’ or a selection of beers at each brewhouse and carefully observe the environment while tasting the products. We describe the service, decorations, location, ambience and food (where applicable) in order to help you make an overall assessment of each location.
